My First 100 Followers
Thank you, I’m thrilled
99 Followers.
I noticed the count, and it remained that way for a while. Like a maniac on a mission, I kept checking the app and refreshing my page every hour or so. I knew it was only a matter of time before it happened!
Soon, there was another green dot on the little bell icon that I have come to love so much (habitual too, I know — need to work on that, but let’s forget that for now).
And there it was, next to the Followers label.

If you follow me, thank you. I’m so thrilled, as this came faster than I had anticipated. It should be celebrated, and I will!
Reflecting on the journey and next steps
Giving a shot at writing consistently was one of the best decisions I made this year. I returned to Medium in April, publishing a story almost every month. But when I started publishing more consistently in September, more people followed (the partner program had also opened in my country by then, so that was added incentive).
I’ve enjoyed the process, and I’m going all in. My next action steps?
I want to sustain a consistent writing habit, publish at least 30 stories, grow, and find my voice along the way for the next three months. Initially, I did have challenges getting ideas for my articles, but I managed them somehow. I’m sure I’ll figure them out going forward as well.
And one thing I’ve learned over the years is that while pursuing big goals, you gotta break it down and celebrate the small wins along the way.
